Ben is a seasoned Project Management Professional with an engineering background, boasting over 15 years of experience in both project management and wireless technology. Currently a Project Management Consultant and coordinator at the International Institute of Technology and Application (IITA), Ben has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise across various industries, including supply chain management, wireless engineering, and entrepreneurship. Most recently, Ben served as a Supply Chain Project Manager at Manhattan Associates, overseeing projects with budgets ranging from $250 million to $500 million for major clients. His extensive experience in RF design, implementation, and management has made him a recognized expert in In-Building Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), where he led the design and turnkey implementation of complex DAS systems. Ben’s career in wireless technology includes a notable role as a Small Cell, Micro/Macro Cell Tower Engineer at Verizon Wireless, where he was a subject matter expert in CDMA, AWS, LTE, and GSM/UMTS technologies. Between 2008 and 2014, he played a pivotal role in implementing 3G and 4G In￾Building System (IBS) upgrades for government buildings, businesses, and public venues across the Midwest USA. His work in evaluating new wireless product concepts and providing innovative solutions further solidified his reputation as a leader in the field. Additionally, Ben served as the Director of Operations at Lightwave and Wireless Inc., where he worked closely with the late Dr. Thomas O. Mensah, his mentor. Together, they contributed to the development of the "Silicon Valley of the South" in Jackson, Mississippi, and Silicon Valley Ghana, an initiative that has since fostered STEM education and opportunities for students in both regions. An enthusiastic entrepreneur, Ben founded the Obimanso Radio and Magazine in Atlanta, Georgia, a platform dedicated to supporting businesses within the diaspora community. His passion for youth development is reflected in his ongoing efforts to establish a Fiber Optics Development Center and Solar Installation and Training Center in Africa, aligning with the broader goals of the Silicon Valley Initiative. His diverse career and contributions continue to inspire others in the fields of project management, engineering, and community development.
