Accomplishments: Former Delegate for the National Summit On Africa (NSOA) and co-founder of the Georgia Africa Society (GAS); worked as a delegate with Ambassador Andy Young to get the AGOA (Africa Growth & Opportunity Act) passed in 2000 during President Bill Clinton’s administration. NSOA & GAS Objectives are to: Provide information and education about Africa to all Americans through research, writing, and seminars. Collaborate with Africa-focused groups to encourage their direct involvement in advancing the mission of The Africa Society Strengthen the lines of communication between The Africa Society and a broad cross- section of Africans and their institutions on the continent.

Accomplishments:

• International Mentor: He traveled to South Africa, Kenya and Uganda on business where he met an African male, Abram McCau. Abram’s dream was to come to America, go to Morris Brown College (MBC) & Georgia Tech (GT), get degrees and go back to Africa, start a business to create jobs for his people. With the coaching, mentoring and support from Chuck Barlow and other strategic partners, Abram’s dream was realized…
